Dr. Maria-Corina Serban is currently a Lecturer in Functional Science Department, Discipline of Pathophysiology of University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babes” Timisoara, Romania.
Dr. Maria-Corina Serban is currently a Lecturer in Functional Science Department, Discipline of Pathophysiology of University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babes” Timisoara, Romania.

She received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Victor Babes Timisoara, Romania. She obtained her PhD in Internal Medicine in 2010 at University of Medicine and Pharmacy Victor Babes Timisoara, Romania, after successfully defending her thesis entitled “Endothelial dysfunction in arterial hypertension – pathogenic implications”. Then she completed her Internal Medicine training in 2012 in the same university. She obtained her Master degree in Nutritional Sciences at University Babes Bolyai Cluj-Napoca in 2014 with the title of the dissertation “The role of functional foods in type 2 diabetes mellitus”. She has experience in arterial hypertension, lipids, diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, nutraceuticals/functional foods.
